Some1 gave me a link to this ATi tool which is meant for overclocking just wondered if any1 has tried it? As im not too sure if it's gunna balls up up card. Sorry cant post link now. Anyway it's meant to be a safe way of seeing max oc speed. <br/><br/><i>Posted from a mobile</i>

It's one of the tools I use to clock my 9800 SE AIW to XT speeds (along with the pipelin mod included in the Omega drivers)

i tried it and overclocked then it reset itself after reboot. not bothered to try it again since and work out how to stop in resetting itself. seemed quite a good tool though

Ah so it's a bit of hit and miss then. Hmm reset probs... I might give it a try when i need new graphics card :-D so andy is it easy enough to oc ur card by just a lil? <br/><br/><i></i>

I took mine from 378 Mhz Core 297 Mhz Memory to 412 Mhz Core and 365 Mhz Memory, which isn't too bad.

You have to save the settings (once you have them how you want them) and then the settings will be invoked upon boot.

going to go overclock mine again then. andy can you give us a brief guide on how to use it?

when i used it i just let it atoumatically overclock for me until the picture started to artifact and then i crapped it... does it automatically start lowering the clock speed when that happens or do you have to drop it manually like i did in a panic :o :)

Depending on what card you have, you should be able to flash the bios off your card and it should be unlocked so that you don't lose your overclocking speeds after a restart


I personaly use rage3d for overclocking
Don't ride faster than your guardian angel can fly (...or was it : don't fly faster than your angel can drive???)
