bullitt one was good, altho the best bits are counting the times they use the same clip, or overtake the same beetle etc, and counting the amount of wheeltrims the mustang loses

Autocar's Top 10 Car Chases

)Bullitt = McQueen, Mustang, Dodge and do computer graphics - this is the real deal.
)Ronin = Chase after chase, all brilliant.
)The French Connection = Wheelman Bill Hickman swaps the Dodge Charger of Bullitt for more American muscle.
)The Italian Job = Renowned car stunt co-ordinator Remy Julienne tried to loop a Mini upside down in the pip scence. It crashed. The remake comes to Britain later this year.
)The Matrix: Reloaded = Bullitt's entire budge would just about stretch to the white lines on the ?20 million road built for a 14-minute sequence.
)Gone in 60 Seconds (1974 and 2000) = Two for one - same story, different eras. Best avoided if you've recently had your car nicked.
)The Fast and the Furious = Lame Plot but lots of thrillingly authentic street racing.
)Die Another Day = Makes ice look cool.
)Vanishing Point = It's once long chase in a Dodge Challenger. So's the 1997 TV movie remake.
)Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior = Mel Gibson went stellar with this unlikely hit, in which post-apocalyptic petrolheads search for fuel.
