NOD32 becomes one of the first Vista-compatible AV solutions

Post by 117 »

NOD32 has been upgraded to V2.7, now with Windows Vista compatibilty (along with XP and Server 2003). It also includes advanced "anti-stealth" root-kit protection.

I can't get the flash thing that shows new features to work, but try it yourself: http://www.eset.com/media/promo/NOD32_v ... ights.html

it's also supposed to auto-update 2.5 to 2.7 for free, but the update function on mine says that mine is up to date, despite being 2.5....

from the email i've just received
NOD32 v2.7 is being offered free of charge to all existing customers with a valid NOD32 license. NOD32 v2.7 can be downloaded from our web site and reinstalled over your current version, It will also be delivered automatically as a program component update in about three to four weeks, in mid-December 2006.

I'm also impressed with their move to help out gamers by reducing system resources when playing, al always have the active monitoring disabled because of that - anything they do to improve it is a great move in my eyes.
