Hi there, no I'm new. I'm the 'Sverian' from the 'Sverian Free Company' forum; Eve Online PC game.
As to the mobe requirements, well...bit boring really. As I'm not up on the latest mobe services I'll list the requirements that I know I need;
Good battery charge duration
Small, Lightweight.
Can work overseas (Europe/US)
Clear line.
Calender/diary function.
Text Messaging.
I may consider a 3G phone once the networks are up and running and there is some competition on the mobe front for 3G, but in the meantime, just an ordinary, updated, mobe will suffice
Any help will be appreciated. Cheers.
Sverian.

ok have u ne preference on make?
heres wat i wud say 2 u:
Nokia - 6100 = This is a good looking small fone thought im not much of a nokia fan, if i was I would probably buy this 1 though it doent have bluetooth which I need. Im not sure what the calendar functions on this is like either.
Sony Ericsson - T610 = this is the one ive got, after deciding that the P800 was too big for me i got this, and its got everything i need plus more. It has everything that you mentioned all of which work well.
Siemens - SL55 = held this fone yday, very nice! Don't know what the calendar functions or battery life on this is like.
Personally i chose the T610 - most, best features. If you like the design of the T610 i would definitely get it - well worth it!

Unless the colour screen is really important, id recommend the T68i tbh.
Its got all the functions that you need, an absolutely massive battery life and is really nice to carry around as its small.
If your gonna keep this mobile for a good while tho, id go for the T610, as its newer therefor will last longer

K Guys, got myself the T610. And I like it
I pay monthly through O2 and got an upgrade deal for ?49.99 as I bought on a public holiday (Scottish) and the local O2 shop was doing holiday deals.
Still getting to know all the functions, but it certainly meets all my original requirements. I'm off on holiday abroad soon, so I plan to try out the photo and sound messaging service. Having upgraded from a prehistoric Nokia 6110 this new mobe makes one hell of a difference...it's small, lightweight and does all sorts of cool stuff.
Thanks to you all that recommended it.
Cheers.
Me too!

I am also buying the T610, Am ordering it either today or tomorrow..
hmm, BTW, does the '610 have a thing where you press the volume keys(on the 'desktop') and it tells you how much battery life is left? (that was sooo cool on my t65!

erm...not sure yet...I'll have to get the manual out. I've just about managed to make a call and take a rude picture so far! There is the usual battery charge icon...not sure about jazzy key pressing stuff...
