When creating a table what is collation?

also what is attributes and null for?

Thanks (ps point me to a website if you want)

(me goes off to google, sorry i always ask before i google. Tis much easier and if i don't find an answer there's probably usually one on the forum when i get back :))

If you make something NOT_NULL, it means that the field can't be left blank in the table.

He says, neglecting to mention that hes only being doing mySQL for a few days :D

lol better late than never i guess :P

Although, i only know the answer to the null one, the one you answered :x :lol:

Actually i did start on mysql a long time before that but only read the sql stuff on w3 :P then came back to it ages later :)

i see :), but when i posted that, it had been about a week that i'd been working with mysql properly well maybe more or less can't rememeber
